Installing garage shelving

Since this is an area that is exposed to the elements a bit more than your home’s interior, you can benefit from choosing a material that is durable. This can include metal shelving, shelves made from wood, or even plastic shelving units. If you still want to be able to park your vehicles in your garage while storing a variety of items, install shelving that isn’t very deep. It should be placed on your wall high enough so that the front end of your vehicle can fit underneath the shelving. If you have a large garage, you can consider using shelves along the sides of this space or at the back of the garage where they won’t be in the way. Choose shelving that is easy to clean and can be moved as necessary.
Installing garage cabinets
Cabinets are a great way to store all kinds of items in your garage, especially tools, chemical-based household products, and much more. Consider what the overall organizational setup of your garage is going to look like before you install any cabinets. If you’re going to be using shelves lower down on the wall, you will want cabinets to be located high enough so that they won’t interfere with one another.
Consider using locked cabinets in your garage space. Because this is an area that is a bit more accessible and easier to break into, you will want to keep expensive items safe. You can also lock away any products that are dangerous to pets and children so they can’t access them.
